
Medical Office Professional

Medical Assistant I role involves providing patient-focused care and working collaboratively with healthcare teams in a medical office environment.
Maintaining daily operations, interpreting instructions, and adapting to changing situations are key aspects of this position.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate professionalism in their interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in patient care teams to provide high-quality care
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of care
Requirements:
Formal Education RequiredGraduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent education/training
Experience & Training RequiredOne (1) year related medical office experience; or externship; or associated experience or education
Other Skills, Competencies And QualificationsKnowledge of medical terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to maintain HIPAA confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Ability to effectively interact with diverse patient populations and maintain a professional demeanor
Must be able to travel between locations as needed and handle bodily fluids and possible exposure to communicable disease
Basic Life Support certification required within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment
Annual clinical skill competencies must be passed
Level Of Physical DemandsMedium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force continuously to move objects. Ability to bend, stand, and walk for extended time.
