Education and Training Support

The role of an education support class position is to provide professional student support services, while adhering to the standards set forth in the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. This includes supporting the educational services being provided to students, without assuming duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1.

Responsibilities
  • Provide solo and group tuition
  • Contribute to the performance program of the school across a wide range of small group and large group performances within and outside the school
  • Support the development of a performing arts culture within the school and promote student leadership within performing arts
  • Contribute to the promotion and development of The Arts within the school community
  • Monitor, evaluate and report students' progress
  • Maintain records of class attendance
  • Implement strategies to achieve goals related to the college strategic plan
  • Maintain a high standard of student management
Requirements
  • Individuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position
