Description:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing commercial advice and support to our General Managers and assisting in the development of project controls and contract management processes.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing commercial advice and guidance on a portfolio of underground mining contracts.
  • Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of project controls and contract management processes.
  • Negotiating and managing contract claims, variations, delay claims, and disputes across new and existing projects.
  • Drafting and finalizing contract-related correspondence.
  • Managing subcontract and supply tenders, contracts, and commercial documents.
  • Evaluating commercial-related risks and opportunities.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong commercial acumen and interest in learning about our mining business.
  • A Business, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Law degree with at least 8 years of experience in contract/commercial management.
  • Strong front-end contract and contract management experience, including client engagement in contract formation and contract management.
  • Previous experience in mining, construction, or similar heavy industry with a contractor is highly preferred.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel and attend client mine sites.
