Energy Management Specialist

At our Digital Power Application Centre, we are seeking an experienced Energy Management Specialist to play a key role in designing and optimising Microgrid systems and related SCADA solutions for our customers. You will work closely with project managers and internal stakeholders to deliver technical standards and project goals.

About the Role

  • Design and configure Microgrid systems and related SCADA solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Develop and implement energy management strategies using technical expertise in solar, batteries, storage, generators, renewable energy sources, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct site visits for requirements assessments, installations, testing, commissioning, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical standards and project goals are met.
  • Utilise Schneider software, services, and related products to provide innovative solutions.
  • Interpret and apply relevant industry standards and protocols in accordance with project plans.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with Renewable Energy or Power Systems experience.
  • Hands-on experience in a similar Energy Management role focused on Microgrids or Renewable Energy.
  • Technical background in PLC/SCADA, coding, and Modbus.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with customers on site.
  • Problem-solving, analytical approach, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks.
