Support Worker Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Ellenbrook, Western Australia.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with daily activities, including personal care, transport assistance, and companion care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with various daily activities such as showers, dressing, grooming, toileting, medication monitoring, shopping, meal preparation, housekeeping, respite care, social support, and transportation to appointments.
  • Perform domestic assistance, personal care, transport assistance, and companion care.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality client care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The following qualifications and skills are essential:

  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community).
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • National Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Registered vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
  • Smartphone.
  • Experience with Dementia clients.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Medication Administration or Prompting Experience.
