Operating Theatre Support Role

The role of Operating Theatre Assistant plays a vital part in the operating theatre's operational flow, working under the direction of a Senior Nurse.

This is a seven-day roster position with on-call and overtime responsibilities. The successful candidate will be required to assist with patient transfers, positioning, and equipment setup within the operating theatre suite.

Maintaining a clean and safe environment is crucial, with regular cleaning duties before, during, and after theatre lists. Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

We seek recent experience in an operating theatre environment, a strong willingness to learn, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient transfers and positioning in the operating theatre.
  • Assist with the application of Diathermy plates and positioning equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties.
