Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Catering Cook in a unique and iconic location. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about food, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The role involves working closely with our team to create unforgettable dining moments against the backdrop of Uluru. You will play a key role in preparing and presenting food for BBQ dinner service, including larder items such as salads and desserts. You will also assist in preparing hors d'oeuvres for sunset drinks service and grill meats and other menu items to guest preferences, maintaining quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present food for BBQ dinner service, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Assist in preparing hors d'oeuvres for sunset drinks service, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Grill meats and other menu items to guest specifications, maintaining consistency and presentation.
  • Monitor food storage, cooking temperatures, and equipment to ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Work collaboratively with hosts and floor supervisors to manage dietary requests accurately.
  • Provide professional, friendly, and knowledgeable service to guests, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and care of work areas and equipment, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in food & beverage, catering, or hospitality.
  • A hands-on approach with a genuine commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Understanding of dietary requirements and food safety practices.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Some experience in training or mentoring others, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Food handling and hygiene certification, with potential for further training and development.
  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential).
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, if applicable.
  • Open Australian Driver's license, for occasional travel and transportation.
