Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to provide high-quality support to individuals with mental health conditions, AOD support needs, and/or co-existing support needs.

The successful applicant will demonstrate experience supporting people with mental health conditions, AOD support needs, and/or co-existing support needs. They will also possess a Certificate in Mental Health or equivalent, or be willing to enrol or presently studying related fields.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building Rapport and Engagement: Building rapport and engaging participants in daily life activities, appointments, and community participation.
  • Companionship and Emotional Support: Providing companionship and emotional support, transporting clients to and from appointments, recreational activities, or other sites they require.
  • Developing Daily Living Skills: Assisting clients with developing daily living skills and home-based activities, such as housekeeping, minor cleaning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • Emotional Regulation and Behavior Support: Assistance with emotional regulation and behavior support strategies implementation.
  • Goal Achievement and Independence: Assisting clients to achieve their goals and enhance their independence.
  • Service Progression Reporting: Reporting service progression, observation, and incident reporting in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.
Essential Requirements:
  • National Police Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Screening check (or willingness to apply)
  • First Aid Certification
  • Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable and insured car
