This role requires an experienced professional to oversee the welfare and safeguarding of children, young people, and their families in a local setting.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a specified Social Care Manager to ensure the needs of children are identified, safeguarded, and monitored in accordance with statutory guidance and local service policy.
The duties and responsibilities of this role include promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children, assisting and deputising for the Team Manager, and supporting key decisions regarding children's services.
- Promote the welfare and safeguarding of children, young people, and their families.
- Assist and deputise for the Team Manager in the completion of work ensuring effective delivery of services.
- Support key decisions in respect of children in accordance with legislation, statutory guidance, and local policies.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to make good decisions based on available information, and have knowledge of service needs. They will also be competent in IT skills and able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
In addition, they will have the ability to write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files, and have a flexible approach to work and working hours when needed.
