Our Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory
The Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory at Monash Health is a state-of-the-art facility that provides a range of genetic tests, including karyotyping, microarray, and FISH testing, as well as molecular testing for various conditions.
About the Role
As a Registrar in the Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory, you will be responsible for:
- Providing cytogenetic and molecular genetic testing services
- Interpreting and reporting test results
- Collaborating with clinical teams to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Participating in quality assurance programs and quality improvement initiatives
- Contributing to the development and implementation of new testing protocols and procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APRHA)
- A current Victorian Working with Children Check Employee (WWCC)
- Previous experience in genetic and molecular pathology is desirable
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- A strong interest in genetics and a commitment to ongoing professional development
