As a key advisor to the Better Buying team, you will play a vital role in driving business success and shaping strategic decisions. Your financial expertise will be invaluable in providing insightful analysis and recommendations that support informed decision-making.

Reporting into the Finance Manager - Own Brand and Supplier Partnerships, this role requires you to work closely with the Better Buying team, commercial partners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the Own Brand Sourcing team to review and provide commercial support for the OB RFP process, including tracking P&L impact of new contracts and developing actionable insights from results
  • Leading the monthly actuals review and forecast for Better Buying benefits, continually evolving and improving financial performance reporting and understanding of drivers of performance and forecasting accuracy
  • Providing commercial support for the Commercial Cost team, including analysis on CPIs, relevant reporting (monthly ELT, QBR)
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across multiple teams and seniorities, including EGM, GMs, Heads of, Commercial Managers, SFMs, and FBPs
  • Presenting results to and facilitating discussions with BU GMs, BCMs, and CMs

This is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic finance professional with a continuous improvement mindset and track record of execution. You should have experience working with complex organisations and be confident in simplifying complex financial information for stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • CA or CPA or similar qualification
  • Experience in a finance role, ideally in retail/FMCG and/or fast-paced environments
  • Strong systems literacy with advanced modelling skills (including Excel, SAP, TM1)
  • Ability to produce and present insightful commercial and financial reports, making recommendations and influencing key business partners
  • Experience implementing change and continuous improvement to drive value creation and better business outcomes
