We are seeking a skilled and experienced Conservation Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in the field of bushland maintenance, community nurseries and fire mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with regeneration, bushcare, and bushfire mitigation activities in public areas.
- Perform maintenance tasks on walking trails, fencing, gates, barriers, and signage.
- Work in the Community Nursery, maintaining facilities, propagating plants, and performing general nursery duties.
- Ensure all works comply with local government regulations and requirements from relevant authorities.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with the community, customers, and stakeholders.
- Support volunteers by supervising, training, and educating them.
- Raise public awareness of bushland issues and educate people on environmental impacts through programs or education.
- Conduct daily checks on plant and equipment and report any issues.
- Bushland Regeneration Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- NSW Class C Licence.
- Working with Children check – or willingness to obtain.
- White Card – General Construction Induction Licence – or willingness to obtain.
