**Indigenous Case Worker Job Description**

We are seeking a dedicated Indigenous Case Worker/Mentor to join our team in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals impacted by alcohol misuse and incarceration risk.

The Public Intoxication Program delivers culturally responsive, mobile, and centre-based case management with a focus on harm reduction, goal setting, and community reintegration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide intensive case management and mentoring
  • Support participants with holistic wellbeing plans
  • Facilitate alcohol education and advocacy
  • Attend court sittings and liaise with justice stakeholders
  • Build strong networks with service providers across the region

 

Requirements:
  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (essential)
  • Hold a Certificate III in Community Services or related field
  • Has lived experience or experience working in community
  • Understand intergenerational trauma, AOD, and justice involvement
  • Hold a valid driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and Blue Card
