The Workplace Technology and Enablement team is seeking an experienced Windows 10 Engineer to assist with upgrading our Windows 10 AVDs to Windows 11 over a six-month period on a day rate. This project requires the successful candidate to have experience in similar environments, manage timelines, track progress, and coordinate team efforts.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Upgrade AVD instances from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
- Plan, track, and report progress to management.
- Engage vendors, script, or use migration tools creatively.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and users to ensure smooth migration.
- Assist with change management and prepare change requests.
- Maintain an issues register, identify risks, and issues impacting the project.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience deploying applications with SCCM or similar tools (preferred).
- Powershell scripting experience (favorable).
- Experience with AVD, VMware, or similar (preferred).
- Solid support background in Windows 10 desktop OS.
- Ability to perform bare-metal builds using SCCM, InTune, or similar.
- Facilitation and presentation skills.
- Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
