Electrical Supervisor Role Overview

The Electrical Supervisor plays a vital role at the Gruyere Gold Mine, a joint venture between two major players in the industry. Located in Western Australia's Yamarna Greenstone Belt, this mine boasts an impressive production profile with over 10 years of operation and producing 300,000+ ounces per annum.

This key position reports directly to the Coordinator: Electrical and involves providing front-line support for all electrical works. The successful candidate will ensure that all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and effectively while adhering to legislative and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the electrical team, including contractors, to optimize productivity and minimize risks.
  • Evaluate and implement plans for completing maintenance and electrical works safely and in compliance with established procedures and systems.
  • Maintain sound working relationships with equipment providers, service providers, and develop contingency plans for minimal disruption to production.
  • Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring through effective use of performance management systems to drive excellence.
  • Collaborate in developing and maintaining training and development plans for the team to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Australian recognized electrical trade qualification and WA Electrical License.
  • Statutory 26 Supervisor Certificate.
  • High Voltage Switching Qualifications And Experience.
  • Previous electrical supervisory experience with strong practical knowledge.
  • Current Electrical Nominee's License.
  • Desirable skills include SAP knowledge, instrumentation experience, and a valid manual driver's license.
