Underground Geotechnical Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our Technical Services team. As a key member of our team, you will provide geotechnical advice and support to ensure safe, productive, and compliant mining operations.
This is a hands-on role where your input directly supports operational decision-making, hazard control, and long-term mine planning.
About the Role:- Provide geotechnical input to day-to-day underground operations, hazard management plans, and strata control strategies.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and monitoring to support ground control and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to inform designs and manage risk.
- Interpret and analyse geotechnical data to guide decision-making and optimise mine safety and performance.
- Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical, Mining, or Civil Engineering (with geotechnical focus).
- Previous experience in an underground coal mining environment.
- Strong understanding of ground control principles, strata monitoring, and geotechnical risk management.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across disciplines.
- Proactive approach to safety, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
