About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Senior Passenger Assistant in Kalgoorlie. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all passengers receive a high standard of service and safety throughout their journey.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver outstanding customer service by assisting and providing information to passengers, managing ticket sales, and distributing pre-paid tickets. You will also be responsible for ensuring passengers' safety, security, and comfort by maintaining a visible and approachable presence on board.

You will work closely with Railcar Drivers to ensure smooth train operations, assist with safe working tasks, and respond effectively to any emergencies. Additionally, you will oversee Passenger Assistant(s) and ensure that onboard facilities and amenities are well-maintained and any issues or defects are promptly reported.

About You

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Considerable understanding of contemporary customer service techniques and their application within a rail hospitality environment.
  • Well-developed relationship management skills, including the ability to develop a rapport with external stakeholders and resolve customer complaints.
  • Sound planning and organisation skills, including the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Sound ability to prioritise tasks and cope with completing demands.
  • Proficient numerical skills, including the ability to undertake basic manual calculations.
