General Manager Role Overview

CGC Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our client's Mining and Civil Division. This is a residential role based in Kalgoorlie, with relocation assistance available for candidates not already based in the area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: Drive continuous improvement internally and externally, ensuring the success of our client's business.
  • Manage Operational Performance: Optimize day-to-day operations, including service delivery, mine production, asset maintenance, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and Mentor Management Team: Foster a positive and productive work environment, utilizing strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee Financial Performance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, while maintaining strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualification: Business Administration or relevant field (candidates with strong industry experience will also be considered).
  • Senior Management Experience: At least 10 years of open pit mining experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to motivate and inspire teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, estimating, and reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
