Payroll Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned payroll expert to lead our end-to-end payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services. As a key member of our team, you will oversee high-volume payroll processing, provide guidance and leadership to colleagues, and act as an escalation point for complex cases.

Responsibilities
  • Payroll Operations Management: Oversee the entire payroll process, including new starters, terminations, cash-outs, leave entitlements, and other benefits.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Supervise, train, and support payroll officers, providing expertise and mentorship to enhance their skills.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to awards, enterprise agreements, ATO requirements, superannuation, and other relevant legislation, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage salary packaging arrangements, deductions, and remittances to providers, maintaining a seamless flow of funds.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and deliver detailed reports for management and auditors, providing valuable insights into payroll performance.
  • Process Improvement: Monitor KPIs, identify areas for enhancement, and recommend process improvements to optimize payroll efficiency.
Requirements
  • Payroll Expertise: Proven experience in payroll, with strong knowledge of legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to guide and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Tech Savviness: Proficiency in payroll systems, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new software.
