About the Opportunity

We have new openings for Fabrication Apprentices to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program at the Osborne Naval Shipyard. This is an exciting time to be part of our team and start a career in shipbuilding.

As a Fabrication Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience working in the shipyard while completing a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade. You will learn about fabricating various materials, welding processes, and health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in fabricating a range of materials and equipment.
  • Learn and apply different types of welding processes.
  • Develop knowledge of fabrication codes and standards.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve business processes and systems.
