About the Job

As a software engineering professional, you will play a key role in developing and operating full-stack applications for a commercial Software as a Service cloud product.

The platform helps mining customers and service providers extend equipment life, improve productivity, and safety by collecting IoT data from assets, monitoring, and analyzing the information to predict and prevent equipment issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and operate full-stack applications using microservice architecture on a major cloud computing platform (preferably AWS).
  • Design scalable and secure containerized applications for a commercial Software as a Service cloud product.
  • Mentor less experienced developers, perform code reviews, design software components, and facilitate scrum events.

Key Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience working as a software developer with expertise in multiple programming languages including TypeScript/NodeJS and comfort with C++, Java, C#, or Python.
  • Experience designing and developing scalable and secure containerized applications using a microservice architecture on a major cloud computing platform.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada or Australia.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications.
  • Experience managing and monitoring AWS cloud infrastructure to achieve high availability SLAs.
  • Experienced in building CI/CD pipelines and practicing continuous deployment.
