Power System Network Operations Specialist

ElectraNet is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to contribute to the secure and reliable operation of South Australia's high-voltage transmission network.
Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for leading technical initiatives, mentoring team members, and providing expert advice on system security and network performance.
- Conduct security and reliability assessments for planned and unplanned events.
- Develop contingency plans and operating instructions.
- Monitor compliance and assist in incident investigations.
- Maintain real-time transmission network models and performance databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required, as well as proficiency in EMS, PSS/E, and other analysis tools such as PSCAD, Power Factory, PLEXOS, and Matlab.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Minimum 5 years' experience in network operations or 7 years in an engineering-related role. A solid foundation in network planning, real-time analysis, and compliance is essential. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment is also required.
Benefits:Flexible and remote working arrangements, including regular work from home, 15 days personal/carers leave per year, 16 weeks paid parental leave for the primary carer or 4 weeks as the secondary carer, and additional paid volunteering and office closure leave.
