Leading Finance Expert Wanted

This is a unique opportunity for a highly qualified and experienced finance professional to join our mission-led organisation as their next Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The Opportunity

You will lead the finance, strategy, risk, operations, and governance functions of a nationally significant organisation at the heart of Australia's deep-tech innovation ecosystem.

As CFO, you will shape the financial strategy, oversee budgets, forecasts, compliance, and risk management across a complex but purpose-driven business.

Be a trusted partner in commercialising innovation and scaling the organisation's national impact.

Take full responsibility for facility management and IT ownership of company secretarial responsibilities such as board, investments, EIP scheme, and key contract reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management
  • Develop and implement the organisation's financial strategy
  • Oversee the operation of facility management and IT services
  • Manage company secretarial responsibilities, including board, investments, and EIP scheme
Requirements

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced CFO who can drive strategic growth and transformation.

  • CA/CMA or equivalent qualification
  • 10+ years of experience in senior finance leadership roles
  • Proven track record of driving financial strategy, reporting, and governance
  • Experience engaging with boards and external stakeholders at a high level
  • Commercial acumen balanced with purpose-driven leadership
