Job Title: Principal Forensic Behavioural Specialist

About the Role

The core responsibility of this position involves evaluating and managing operational assessments, management, and desistence strategies for reportable offenders.

  • Evaluate operational assessment, management, and offence desistence of reportable offenders for business improvement strategies.
  • Develop effective working relationships with law enforcement agencies domestically and internationally.
  • Research and deliver validated threat and risk assessment protocols to manage community risk.
  • Develop processes and resources consistent with mitigating community risk and meeting policing objectives.
  • Deliver evidence-based advice on key issues relating to specialist policing services.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and staff development.

Qualifications and Skills

Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, or a related allied health discipline are required.

Post graduate qualifications in the relevant area are highly regarded.

A successful applicant will be required to undergo psychometric assessment prior to appointment.

This role may expose individuals to graphic and sensitive material during their duties.
