We are seeking a compassionate and experienced professional to join our team as a Victim Support Worker.
Job DescriptionIn this critical role, you will provide tailored support to victims of crime from diverse backgrounds and communities. You will work directly with victim survivors, building their capacity to navigate the justice system and access specialist services.
You will also engage in community outreach and education activities, promoting best practice and collaboration with other victim services. Your expertise will be instrumental in empowering victim survivors to achieve their goals and prioritize their safety and recovery.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, or a relevant field;
- At least 3 years' experience in the community sector, preferably in a trauma-related field;
- Proven case management, intake, and assessment skills, with a focus on Family Violence Risk identification and management;
- Capability to engage in community engagement and secondary consultation;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Willingness to promote inclusive, culturally responsive, safe, and accessible practices;
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence;
- Right to Work in Australia;

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Bachelor qualifications in Social Work, Social Welfare, or a relevant equivalent;
- Minimum 3 years' experience within the community sector, preferably in a trauma-related field;
- Case management, intake, and assessment experience, with a focus on Family Violence Risk identification and management;
