Cost Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, with experience in feasibility studies, estimating, and cost planning.
Job DescriptionThe Cost Manager will be responsible for assisting on feasibility studies, writing procurement reports, and producing and presenting the final cost plan. They will also assist with tendering and procurement, including helping with the pre-qualification stage, assisting in the preparation of pre-tender estimates, and compiling contractual documents.
The successful candidate will deal effectively with post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring major changes to the line manager as necessary. They will also produce monthly post-contract cost reports for the Commission Manager to present to clients.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will hold a degree in construction or a related field, with working towards Chartered status with AAIQS or RICS or equivalent recognised body. They will have at least 2 years' experience in cost management, preferably within a private practice or consultancy or construction organisation.
