Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team. This is an exciting casual opportunity based in Wollongong, where you will be working on the front line of Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants' activities of daily living.


Your primary role will be to provide supports such as companionship, meal preparation, domestic assistance, and medication management. You will also actively contribute to the continuous improvement of care provided to participants.


About the Role
  • You will work independently, but as part of a team, providing reliable, person-centered support to participants.
  • Flexibility is highly desirable, and you will be required to have a current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality care and support to participants, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  2. Provide companionship, meal preparation, domestic assistance, and medication management, as required.
  3. Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, in collaboration with the participant and other relevant stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, or Home and Community Care (Desirable but not essential) or equivalent working or lived experience.
  • A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle.
  • Police Records Check (completed within the last 12 months).
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Manual handling training is desirable, but you will receive training if needed.
  • Rights to work in Australia.
  • Availability and willingness to use personal smartphone.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online course.
