Job Summary

A leading AFL sporting and club entity is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its leadership team.

We are looking for a visionary finance leader ready to drive growth, compliance, operational excellence, and the positive impact of AFL across our region.

About the Role

As CFO, you will shape the financial strategy, ensure robust compliance, and facilitate continued growth and sustainability for all business units.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the group's financial vision, strategy, and long-term plans.

  • Develop and implement the group's financial vision, strategy, and long-term plans.
  • Provide actionable financial and strategic advice to the Board and senior management.
  • Oversee financial transactions, accounts, payroll, and reporting across all group entities.
  • Lead consolidated budgets, forecasts, and group-wide financial planning.
  • Ensure strong cash flow management, capital allocation, and risk management.
About You

As a commercially astute finance leader, you will have strong strategic capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for purpose-driven organisations.

Qualifications
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline and CPA/CA or equivalent.
  • Proven success in CFO or senior finance leadership roles within complex multi-entity organisations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating, implementing, and modernising financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and drive organisational change.
