Job Title

A midwife is required to provide quality care to Aboriginal women in a community setting. This role will involve working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective and culturally sensitive care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide continuity of midwifery care to Aboriginal women throughout the pregnancy and postpartum period.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Ensure midwifery practice is culturally safe and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal women.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and progress.
Requirements:
  • Registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Aboriginal health and culture.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to plan, assess and develop team and individual performance.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
