Job Title: Windows SOE Engineer

This is an urgent contract position with a possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows endpoint management and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain standard Windows SOE images aligned to industry best practices.
  • Packaging and deploying applications via Intune and/or Endpoint Configuration Manager/MECM.
  • Managing Intune and Endpoint policies, ensuring compliance and security controls are met.
  • Performing lifecycle and patching tasks, including provisioning, configuration, monthly patching, and Windows version upgrades.
  • Implementing security controls, such as BitLocker and Defender policies, and hardening and secure baselines mapped to public-sector standards.
  • Utilizing PowerShell automation to streamline builds, configuration, and remediation tasks.
  • Providing L3 escalation support for SOE, application, and deployment issues.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Windows endpoint management/SOE engineering.
  • Proven track record of building, packaging, and deploying applications via Intune and/or MECM/SCCM.
  • Strong understanding of PowerShell, GPO/baselines, Defender, BitLocker, and public-sector compliance exposure.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
  • Australian citizenship with active NV1 (or higher) security clearance.
