Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Support Specialist to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing practical and emotional support to clients, helping them build meaningful relationships and achieve their goals.

This is a casual opportunity based in Ringwood, Victoria, offering flexibility and the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for providing individualized support to clients, using your skills and experience to promote independence and well-being.
  • You will work collaboratively with other support staff to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring each client receives tailored support that meets their unique needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  • A current National Police Certificate and valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Physical capability to meet the requirements of the role, including lifting and transferring clients
  • First aid certificate and smart phone with internet access
