Cloud Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support our cloud transformation journey. This role will be instrumental in managing existing virtual machine environments while helping to evolve our cloud footprint through automation and modern engineering practices.">This role will involve working across both brownfield (legacy) and greenfield (new cloud) environments, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Success will depend on strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills as much as technical capability.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support legacy cloud and on-prem virtual machine environments
  • Migrate legacy systems to AWS and other cloud platforms
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
  • Develop infrastructure as code using Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
  • Automate configuration and system management with Python and shell scripting
  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance across cloud and legacy platforms
  • Implement and maintain cloud security and compliance practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of modern engineering practices
The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting brownfield/legacy virtual machine environments, ideally VMware. They should also have solid hands-on experience with AWS and a sound understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and system administration.Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience supporting brownfield/legacy virtual machine environments
  • Solid hands-on experience with AWS
  • Strong skills in DevOps and automation
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with Vault and secrets management solutions
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders during times of change
  • Demonstrated ability to drive transformation and integrate into existing teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Terraform, Helm, or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools
  • Exposure to serverless and cloud-native architectures
