Job Title

A Paramedic is required to work in an urgent care environment.

About the Role

This is a vital position within our healthcare team where you will be responsible for triaging patients, conducting comprehensive assessments, and providing frontline care in collaboration with medical practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage of all patients presenting to Urgent Care
  • Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments
  • Act promptly in response to any patients requiring immediate emergency care on arrival or due to deterioration
  • Perform various medical procedures such as suturing and plastering
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in the dynamic Urgent Care environment
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and medical practitioners
  • Ensure patients achieve desired clinical outcomes
  • Provide essential health education to patients
  • Complete all documentation accurately and efficiently
About You
  • You must be a registered Paramedic with AHPRA and hold a current Working with Children Check and National Police Check
  • Prior experience in triage in an emergency setting, remote or urgent care setting (minimum 1 year)
  • 5 years post-graduate experience preferred
  • Able to assess and recognize health deterioration and escalate accordingly
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and high level of critical thinking
  • Autonomy: Able to work independently and delegate when necessary
  • Passion for helping others and delivering exceptional patient care
