About the Role

Crawford & Company is seeking a highly skilled Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team in Sydney, Brisbane, or Gold Coast. As a key member of our property claims team, you will be responsible for resolving complex complaints and ensuring timely resolution of claims.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in insurance claims management review or assessment, with a strong understanding of insurance policies and technical claims experience. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to draft clear and concise written communication in Plain English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain an expected case load of property claim contacts following complaints
  • Work directly with claim adjusters to examine claims forms, policies, and endorsements, client instructions, and other records to determine coverage
  • Provide recommendations to claim adjusters to ensure the progress of claims, possibly outside standard claims management procedures
  • Support and advise policy holders with respect to their claims
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in insurance claims management review or assessment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret insurance policies along with strong technical claims experience
  • Experience in dispute resolution and complex complaint management
  • Strong analytical skills to investigate and identify issues and information needed to form a view
