Role Overview

As a Graduate Rehabilitation Consultant, you will have the opportunity for new experiences across many different industries, customer, and clients, allowing you to assist people to return to wellness, work, and ultimately experience an improved quality of life.

You will engage in formal and experiential training to develop the skills you need to feel competent and confident in your role. This includes assessing client needs, developing strategies and interventions for a safe return to pre-injury activities.

Key responsibilities include playing an important role in a multidisciplinary approach to recovery and return to work, always with your client's best interests at heart.

Additionally, you will perform assessments such as initial assessments, functional capacity assessments, early intervention, home, worksite, and ergonomic assessments, as well as vocational assessments.

Effective communication and rapport-building skills are essential for this role, particularly when working with key stakeholders throughout the process including the ill or injured individual, their treating health practitioners, employers, and insurers.

Requirements

We are seeking newly graduated individuals within Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Nursing, Social Work, and Rehabilitation Counselling disciplines.

Candidates must have current (or working towards) registration in one of the above disciplines, a National Police Check, a current Working with Children Check, strong communication skills, a passion for injury prevention, return to work, and the associated health benefits.

A current driver licence and access to your own vehicle are also required.
