Defence Infrastructure Specialist

The Director of Defence Client Engagement will be responsible for driving the future direction of our Department of Defence practice in Australia, leading with purpose and integrity. As a trusted advisor, you will build deep relationships across all levels of the client organisation and industry partners.
You will champion our collaborative culture while pursuing and securing major projects and programs aligned with our values and sales targets. You will also engage directly in project delivery to earn respect and credibility, demonstrating hands-on leadership and technical excellence.
In this role, you will collaborate with our Defence & Security Market Lead to shape client engagement strategies that align with Defence priorities and emerging opportunities. You will leverage our global capabilities to introduce innovative, high-quality services that meet client needs and uphold our reputation for excellence.
You will recruit and nurture professionals with strong client engagement skills, providing coaching and mentorship to build a resilient, future-ready team.
About You:
We are looking for someone with deep experience working with the Department of Defence, particularly within the Security and Estate Group in infrastructure services. Your strong network and market reputation should be backed by a proven ability to position, win, and deliver major infrastructure projects, navigate complex government processes, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Your background could be in Defence APS roles, consulting, construction, or Defence Primes, but you demonstrate a commitment to excellence and strategic client engagement.
Key Requirements
