Job Title: Support Professional

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with students who require special assistance, providing a safe and supportive environment that fosters their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide individualized support to students with special needs, promoting their independence and participation in educational activities;
  • To collaborate with teaching professionals to develop and implement educational programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student;
  • To assist students in accessing resources and services that enhance their learning experience;
  • To contribute to a positive school culture by modeling respectful behavior and fostering strong relationships with students, staff, and parents;
  • To maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding student progress and concerns;
Requirements
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency;
  • Valid Working With Children Check;
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department's Screening Unit;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse situations and personalities;
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability;
