Electrical Drafter Position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in Melbourne. As a drafter, you will work alongside project managers, engineers, designers, and drafters to deliver major projects.

This is a developmental role where you will grow your skill base and acquire a more specialized understanding of drafting and design concepts and processes using AutoCAD and other software packages.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing designs and associated electrical engineering drawings not limited to single line diagrams, protection control diagrams, assembled forms, schematics, equipment layouts and sections, wiring & control diagrams, and cable schedules.
  • Developing high-quality drawing and checking skills.
  • Liaising with designers and project team engineers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
  • Working with lead designer to assist with aligning design standards and processes with the rest of the business line.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • An interest in gaining electrical design knowledge through on-the-job experience.
  • Enrolled or eligible to enroll in an Associate Degree of Electrical Engineering (or similar Associate Degree / Advanced Diploma).
