Job Overview

We are seeking a Transport Coordinator to play a vital role in the smooth operation of our transport network.

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of transportation logistics.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a related field and a solid knowledge of transportation systems, including scheduling and route planning.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate the daily schedule of our fleet of trucks, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Book slots and plan import collections to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate empty slot bookings for truck collection and drop-offs.
  • Liaise with drivers and yard supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding plans and schedules.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a transport-related role.
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility principles.
  • Knowledge of 1-Stop and Wave operating systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Import and Export requirements.
  • Awareness of Port Botany and surrounding areas.
  • Excellent understanding of Ports and Empty Parks within Port Botany.
  • Previous data-entry and administration experience.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated teamworking skills and exceptional customer service skills.
