About the Victorian School Building Authority

The VSBA is responsible for upgrading and expanding existing schools and planning, designing, and building new ones to meet enrolment demand.

  • Upgrading and expanding existing schools
  • Planning, designing, and building new schools
  • Supporting schools to maintain their buildings and grounds
  • Coordinating maintenance programs and grants

About the Role

The Analyst in the Information Unit is responsible for:

  • Capturing, updating, and reporting all physical land and building asset information in the Asset Management System
  • Facilitating Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and asset data operations
  • Advising on activities relating to asset data and CAD, providing guidance and support to team members
  • Undertaking various land and property tasks for school site identification
  • Providing authoritative advice on trends, risks, and issues

About the Division

The Strategy & Planning Division is responsible for maintaining asset data in the asset management system for all government schools. This involves inputting all land and building data from over 1,800 school campus sites in an asset portfolio of approximately $20 billion.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date asset data in the asset management system
  • Providing expert advice on asset data and CAD
  • Facilitating the planning, design, and construction of new schools and upgrades to existing schools
  • Coordinating maintenance programs and grants for schools
