Job Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analysing health and safety data, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing strategic recommendations to improve safety performance across the organisation.

About the Position

  • Become a key member of our Technical Services team at Sydney Metro, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our Health and Safety Risk management and Assurance functions.
  • Review and analyse health and safety data from various sources, collaborate with relevant stakeholders, and provide strategic recommendations to improve safety performance.
  • Support the continuous improvement of health and safety processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, mitigating risks, and enhancing safety outcomes in a large-scale infrastructure environment.

About You

  • An experienced health and safety professional with a strong background in internal health and safety risk assurance.
  • Prior experience leading internal health and safety risk assurance activities and a deep understanding of rail safety, construction safety, occupational health, and heavy vehicle safety requirements.
  • Familiarity with conducting risk assessments, evaluating critical risk treatment and assurance plans, and assessing the effectiveness of safety management system elements and action plans in large infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A strong background in health and safety risk management, coupled with a passion for driving organisational excellence, is essential for success in this role.
