Aged Care Support Worker Role

At our healthcare organization, we're looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to fill a Casual/Temporary Aged Care Support Worker position. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, taking into account any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Participate in recreational activities and outings designed to promote socialization and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Requirements:

  • Relevant aged care experience or training is highly desirable, but not essential. We're open to candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, is necessary to ensure continuity of care.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are vital for building strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and families.
  • Physical stamina is required to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and lifting, so please be prepared to maintain a moderate level of physical activity throughout your shift.
