About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipeworks Leading Hand to join our team at BMD Urban. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation and scheduling
  • Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, as well as quality standards
  • Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors, suppliers, and plant hirers
  • Manage survey requirements and ensure accurate data collection
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including daily activity costs and site activities
  • Identify and report non-conformances, and assist in developing recommendations for remedial work
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities and ensure compliance with construction programs
  • Ensure client quality expectations are met or exceeded, in accordance with specifications
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction
  • Current driver's license
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in minor civil infrastructure works and urban development projects
  • Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide guidance to sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality construction projects within budget and program constraints
