Job Title: Key Logistics Manager

The role of Key Logistics Manager is pivotal in ensuring the safe, timely and cost-efficient production and delivery of ferrous and non-ferrous materials to meet customer expectations.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute transport planning and scheduling processes in collaboration with Trading and Operational teams.
  • Manage a team of logistics professionals to achieve key business objectives.
  • Conduct capacity and operational planning to optimize transport systems.
  • Monitor and improve carrier and fleet performance to ensure compliance with safety and customer requirements.
  • Implement transport initiatives and solutions to guarantee timely, reliable, cost-effective and safe transport of products to and from customers and suppliers.
  • Enhance the Waste Edge system continuously to support business growth.


Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in transport planning environments.
  • A proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams in complex and fast-paced settings.
  • Expertise in fleet and carrier management, including vehicle allocation, capacity planning, load configuration and load restraint.
  • Advanced stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills to drive results-oriented outcomes.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Weighbridge and Waste Edge systems would be advantageous.
  • Proven problem-solving and process improvement capabilities, with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
