About the Role

Freyssinet Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corrosion Specialist to join our Remedial Engineering Services business unit in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting projects across Victoria, focusing on Corrosion/Durability/Coatings/Condition Assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and create detailed condition reports to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical advice and problem-solving skills to support project delivery and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare QSE documents and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Install, commission, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain cathodic protection systems on various assets, including pipelines, tanks, reservoirs, wharves, and bridges.
  • Contribute to business development, preparing tenders, and resourcing to drive project growth and success.
  • Travel to sites as required to fulfill project requirements.
Requirements
  • Construction Industry Induction Card
  • Corrosion Technician with Australian Corrosion Association Accreditation
  • Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience with or exposure to Cathodic Protection
  • Experience with or exposure to NACE/ACA Corrosion Standards
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field
