About the Role

This permanent full-time position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering the City's operational contracts for road resurfacing, shared paths construction, crack sealing, and other maintenance and minor works. The successful candidate will ensure the day-to-day management of these contracts is carried out effectively and efficiently, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement contract management strategies to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and employees to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of City funds
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and City policies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including contractors, employees, and community groups
Requirements
  • Diploma of Civil Engineering or related field
  • Current unrestricted 'HR' (Heavy Rigid) class national driver's licence
  • Current White Construction Card
  • Current Certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management
  • Significant experience in contract managed civil construction and maintenance
  • Experience in contract management and administration
  • Experience in supervising contractors and employees
