Highway Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our highway design team, you will work on medium to large projects and prepare and oversee roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards.

  • You will prepare horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway sections, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, roadway drainage, and ADA ramp design.
  • Additionally, you will prepare contract plans, site preparation plans, roadway profiles, drainage plans and profiles, utility plans, paving, pavement marking plans, signing plans, and traffic control plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, and ability to work with various teams.
  • Project management skills are desirable.
