About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in derivatives trading and operations to take on a key role in our financial markets division.

You will be responsible for providing internal trading support to client advisors, monitoring intra-day risk and margining, post-trade performance, as well as managing and overseeing cash, collateral.

Main Responsibilities
  • Internal Trading Support: Provide internal trading support to client advisors.
  • Risk Monitoring: Monitor intra-day risk and margining, post-trade performance as well as manage and oversee cash, collateral.
  • Compliance Oversight: Monitor compliance, particularly organisation wide trading behaviour and be able to detect and escalate unusual trading activities.
  • Risk Strategy: Monitor risk breaches and articulate complex risk strategies to senior leadership and the compliance team.
  • Market Analysis: Assist with regular market reports and trading summaries.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and communicate market news, movements, and potential trading opportunities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Maths or related field.
  • ADA 1 and ADA 2 qualifications or similar.
  • DTR accreditation beneficial but not necessary.
  • Experience in both derivatives trading and operations.
  • Experience in a fixed income desk and/or general risk will be highly beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian ETO derivatives and international ETO trading background highly beneficial.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial markets.
  • Experience in and understanding of AMLCTF, KYC, risk control frameworks.
  • Very strong communication skills and a highly collaborative style.
