Job Description:

The Land and Environment Court of New South Wales is a specialist environmental and planning court with a wide jurisdiction. It interprets and enforces environmental law in NSW.

This court is part of the Courts Tribunals and Service Delivery division within the department of communities and justice.

">

The Land and Environment Court has 6 judges who have the same status as supreme court judges, and 10 commissioners with specific qualifications.

">

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, ensuring systems and procedures deliver accurate, timely, effective, and high-quality services that meet users' needs.

">

Implementing new initiatives to improve court systems and processes is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing strategies to improve court systems and processes">
  • Preparing complex correspondence and dealing with enquiries">
  • Providing procedural advice and guidance">
