Environmental Policy Advisor

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Environmental Policy Advisor to join our team. As an Environmental Policy Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering actions from relevant legislation, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to embed understanding of the legislation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team of officers responding to community reports, assisting businesses and stakeholders to comply with their obligations and transition from single-use plastics to sustainable alternatives.
  • Assist in compliance inspections and investigations.

Requirements:

  • You must be a strong advocate for environmental protection.
  • You have effective communication skills to work collaboratively with stakeholders and other team members to solve issues.
  • You are able to use a range of techniques to encourage compliance, including behaviour change, engagement, and education.

About the Team:

The Engagement, Education and Programs Division drives change through influencing, engaging, educating and enabling in order to protect and enhance the environment for future generations.
